This presentation will focus on the intersection of cultural identity and substance use including etiology, risk factors, barriers to treatment, and stigmas. We will discuss the importance of culturally competent care to improve patient experience and outcomes.

Brittany Farrow

MS, LMFT, CST

Brittany Farrow is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AASECT Sex Therapist. She is currently in private practice and her background includes working in an outpatient CCBHC providing substance use treatment. Her specializations include sex therapy, PTSD including mass trauma, generational and systemic trauma, and improving relationships. She received a MS in Marriage and Family Therapy and BA in Psychology both from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Brittany was a fellow in the AAMFT/SAMHSA Minority Fellowship Program which focuses on reducing health disparities and improving mental health care for underserved and marginalized communities.
